Beginner and advanced encaustic workshops are available for groups and individuals. Group classes that are taught at my studio do not exceed 3 students. At other locations the classes are limited to 8. The beginner class features basic core information including: health and safety in the studio, the history of encaustics, information regarding supports and supplies, the fundamental techniques of painting and fusing, creating transparency and depth, image transfer, mark-making, and collage. Advanced classes cover monoprints, working on paper and other unique surfaces, embedding wax, stencils, pouring wax and more. E-mail me for details. [email protected]
