Beginner and advanced encaustic workshops are available for groups and individuals. Group classes taught at my studio do not exceed 3 students. At other locations the classes are limited to 6 or 8. The beginner class features basic core information including: health and safety in the studio, the history of encaustics, information regarding supports and supplies, the fundamental techniques of painting and fusing, creating transparency and depth, image transfer, mark making and collage. Advanced classes cover monoprints, working on paper and other unique surfaces, embedding wax, stencils, pouring wax and more. E-mail me for details. firstname.lastname@example.org

The supplies included for ALL workshops: heat gun, heated palette, all encaustic paints, beeswax, medium, and pigment sticks. Students must bring their own supports, mark making tools and collage or transfer materials. A detailed supply list will be sent out to those attending a workshop.
